Caldwell Co. School District Needs Exceed $34 Million

Caldwell County Schools Facebook

Caldwell County School District submitted their district facilities plan with $34,386,850 of improvements needed.

The first item on their list is a complete remodel of the vocational school. Facilities director Sam Haulk says that remodel is listed for $3.7 million dollars. The additional classrooms that are planned would allow a plumbing program and a machinist program which would add $2,981,149 to their needs. Haulk says the district has about 3 million dollars in bonding potential.

The remodel is listed under category 2 meaning it is in a discretionary category that allows the district to make these improvements as need and funding arises.

There will be a public hearing March 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Butler Auditorium.
