Hopkins Co., KY – The owner of Madisonville car dealership Browning Chevrolet faces criminal charges in two counties. Terry Bruce Browning allegedly sold vehicles from his used car lot with pre-existing liens last year. Monday he appeared in Hopkins County Circuit Court for a pretrial conference. Browning is charged with sixteen counts of theft by failure to make a required disposition, meaning he did not pay off vehicle loans before selling them. The Hopkins County trial begins next spring. Commonwealth's Attorney for the 5th Judicial Circuit Zac Greenwell says a Grand Jury has just indicted Browning on a theft by deception felony charge in Crittenden County. Browning will receive a summons soon.
