Madisonville, KY – Kentucky law enforcement officers this week will begin fining those who violate child booster seat laws. The fines come after a year-long grace period where officers issued courtesy warnings to violators. Beginning Wednesday Kentuckians can be fined 30 dollars for non-compliance. The legislation requires any child between 40 and 50 inches tall and under the age of 7 to be placed in a booster seat.
