Firefighters pulled the bodies of a deceased elderly couple from a creek following a collision in Crittenden County on Sunday evening.

Kentucky State Police say members of the Crittenden County Volunteer Fire Department located 86-year-old Douglas Keeling and 82-year-old Martha Keeling downstream from a partially submerged vehicle in Crooked Creek.

Around 6:12 p.m. on Sunday, Crittenden County Sheriff's Department requested KSP to investigate a collision on Fords Ferry Road about two miles north of Marion.

Firefighters located a 2009 Chevrolet Impala in the creek. The passenger's door was open, but no one was inside. They located the Keelings about 300 yards downstream.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville.

Foul play is not suspected.
