The Big Read returns to Christian County for the third year in a row this fall. The Pennyroyal Arts Council is one of 77 nonprofit organizations in the country to receive the grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Big Read initiative awards matching grant funding for community-focused activities centered around a book. PAC received $14,000 dollars to develop a program based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe.
The series of more than 30 events kicks off October 7 at the Alhambra Theatre and runs through November 5. A complete calendar will be available August 1.
