Bedford, Wikimedia Commons, Public Domain

Governor Matt Bevin has appointed a new Judge Executive of Webster County. Stephen Henry of Providence replaces James Townsend, who has resigned.

Henry is a lifelong resident of Webster County.

Henry has worked in the coal mining industry for more than 20 years, as a manager for the past 10 years. Prior to that he served as the 911 Coordinator for the county while working in the Fiscal Court.

Henry says he's grateful for the opportunity and "will work diligently to give back to the community in which I was raised and grew up.”

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
