Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear will speak at Murray State on Monday about combating sexual assault on college campuses.

Beshear will join members of the Purchase Area Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center in an effort to raise awareness and transparency in reporting.

Beshear is touring the state to promote a video contest aimed at raising awareness about this issue.

He has said nationally one in five women and one in sixteen men were sexually assaulted on college campuses in 2015. He noted only ten percent of those were reported.

The event is at 11:30 in the Curris Center.
