Beshear: Election Fraud Hotline on Extended Hours Next Tuesday

Matt Markgraf, WKMS

Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear is reminding Kentuckians to help combat voter fraud during next Tuesday’s Primary Election by using the Election Fraud hotline.

Anyone witnessing election irregularities or possible election law violations can call the hotline at “800-328-8683 (VOTE)".

"Our Election Fraud hotline is an important tool in the fight to ensure honest and fair elections for all Kentuckians,” Beshear said. “I want to encourage voters to be our eyes and ears in the polling places and report any election irregularities to our hotline.”

The hotline is open throughout the year during normal business hours but will be on an extended 5AM to 6PM on Election Day.

Investigators from the AG’s Office will also be patrolling precincts and polling places across the Commonwealth.

By law, the AG has jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute election law violations and conduct post election audits in six randomly drawn counties within 20 days of the election.
