Murray, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has appointed a new Murray State University Regent to the board. Louisville Health Care Executive Stephen Williams will fill the position vacated by Judge Jeff Taylor, who was forced to resign. The Republican Williams is an MSU alumnus and native western Kentuckian. University spokesperson Catherine Sivills says Williams' first appearance in his role as regent will be November 3 at a recruitment function in Louisville. He will attend his first board of regents meeting December 4.
