Benton, KY – A Benton Kentucky man may be the lone Democrat looking to unseat Republican 1st District Congressman Ed Whitfield. Charles Kendall Hatchett filed his paperwork to seek the office Friday. Congressman Whitfield is seeking his 9th term in the U.S. House. Hatchett is Whitfield's lone challenger, so far. The filing deadline to seek office in Kentucky is tomorrow.
