Edmonson County, KY – State agriculture officials announced late last week that a form of avian influenza had been detected on a farm near Edmonson County in western Kentucky. The situation is not considered to be a significant risk to the public health, but it could hurt the state's poultry industry as it tries to expand export markets. Kentucky Public Radio's Dan Modlin has this update.
