Bartleman Seeking Second Term as McCracken County Commissioner

KET

McCracken County Commissioner Bill Bartleman is seeking a second term in 2018.

Bartleman was elected commissioner of the first district in 2014 after a 39-year career as a government and political reporter for the Paducah Sun.

The district encompasses eastern McCracken County, including the Reidland-Farley. In a release, Bartleman touted successes including increased funding for the Sheriff’s Department and improvements to the courthouse.

He was a delegate at the Republican National Convention last year, representing west Kentucky.

Bartleman serves on the board of directors of the Kentucky Association of Counties, the Purchase Area Development District, the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center Board and the Western Recorder, the state newspaper for Kentucky Baptists.

He also works part-time for West Kentucky and Tennessee Telecommunications as director of special projects.
