Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah is moving its afternoon departure and arrival times two hours later beginning Thursday.
According to the airport's website, the current 4:30 p.m. time moves to 6:30. Arrivals also move two hours later to around 6 p.m. The move is temporary.
Starting on April 23, flight times will move to a more permanent 2 p.m. arrival and 2:30 p.m. departure.
Barkley Regional offers commercial flights to the Chicago O'Hare airport via United Express.
The airport says the moves are due to United Airlines looking to grow its number of passengers at major hubs, including Chicago. The increase of cities connecting to Chicago means more gate space is needed to park planes, prompting United to rework schedules.
Barkley Regional Airport flew in 2017 more than 20,000 outbound passengers on United Express.
