Barber's Violin Concerto the Centerpiece for Saturday's Paducah Symphony Concert

Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams opens the program of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra Saturday night at 7:30 in the Carson Center. Then, guest soloist Glenn Deicterow joins the Orhcestra for Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto, opus 14. And the concert finale is Piotre Tchaikovsky's Symphony Number 1, Winter Daydreams. On Sounds Good, Kate Lochte speaks with Artistic Director and Conductor Raffaele Ponti for more about the music.

Paducah Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director and Conductor Raffaele Ponti leads the Orchestra with guest soloist Glenn Dicterow, violin, in a concert of works by John Adams, Samuel Barber and Piotr Tchaikovsky Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Carson Center.

He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011.
