Ballard Student Journalists Cover Shuttle Launch
By Jacque Day
Barlow, KY – Four Ballard Memorial High School students earned press credentials to attend the November 14 launch of the space shuttle Endeavor at Kennedy Space Center. Seniors Warren Newberry, Josh Underwood, Josh Yancy and Cory King won the slot by presenting their reporting work to a panel of judges. Jacque Day traveled to Ballard to talk with the young journalists, their teacher and their "mission control" crew about how they plan to cover the event.
