On Sounds Good, Dr. Bill Tyler talks with Austin Carter about the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden’s upcoming Back Woods Ball.

Tyler says this will be the second Back Woods Ball. The event will take place at the Big Independent Tobacco Warehouse in Owensboro on September 23. There will be live music from the Lanham Brothers and Marty Brown. A dance troupe will lead clogging and square dances. The evening includes bourbon and beer tasting. There will also be a silent auction of items including a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, quilts, local artwork, and meals at local restaurants.

The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden was established in 1993 in Daviess County. The 9.5 acre garden provides educational programs on horticulture and the environment. For more information, visit www.wkbg.org.
