[Audio] Racer Football Wrap-Up and Basketball Analysis

goracers.com

Neal Bradley and Tracy Ross review the Racer Football season and dig into Racer Basketball on Sounds Good.

Racer Football has wrapped up the season. The team played very well against Jacksonville State though they lost 33-15. Bradley says Jacksonville is one of the top teams for defense and one of the top three rushing teams in the nation. For the final game of the season, Tennessee Tech topped the Racers 55 to 19.

Bradley says the football team accomplished a lot this season with two wins over top-25 teams. He says next year we may see the first winning season in a while.

The Racer Basketball team has played 7 games, winning 3 of 4. Bradley says then team is inexperienced and the Gee McGhee injury is still plaguing them, but they should be around an 18-win team.

The Racers welcome Detroit to the CFSB center today. Bradley says they stand a chance of winning because they have better guards and size but they’ll need to kick up their defense to be the team they want to be. They travel to Evansville December 10 to take on the Aces, which Bradley says could be the team’s first chance at a non-conference road win. They next play against Ole Miss, which is off to a 5 in 1 start. Bradley says Ole Miss will be the Racers’s biggest challenge on this year’s brutal road trip.
