goracers.com

Neal Bradley and Tracy Ross discuss Racer basketball on Sounds Good.

Early in the game against Ole Miss, Bradley says it looked like the Racers would be blown out but they defended well and made a comeback. Terrell Miller stood out in this game with 27 points. The Racers only lost by 5 points for a final score of 73 to 78.

The Racers played another close game, this time against South Dakota, losing by only 4 points for a final score of 84 to 88. Jonathan Stark had 32 points in this game. Though the Racers lost, Bradley says morale on the trip back was good because the team felt they had played well together.

Wright State topped the Racers 77 top 62. The team regrouped over winter break to beat Brescia 99 to 83. The Racers won their first conference game on New Year’s Eve, beating the Tigers 92 to 83. Bradley says it was a great game for both Demarcus Croaker and Jonathan Stark. The Racers then embarked on a 2 game road trip with a win against Jackson State 76 to 63 and a close loss to Tennessee Tech 67 to 71. Next road trip, they take on Eastern Illinois and SIUE.
