Justin and Erin Lewis talk with Tracy Ross on Sounds Good about the Paducah Cooperative Ministry’s third annual Moonlight Bike Ride this Saturday.
Erin says Paducah Cooperative Ministry began in 1973 when churches came together to establish a food pantry. Today, PCM also offers shelter and resources to homeless women and children, financial assistance, senior commodity distribution, jail ministry for women, and emergency Meals on Wheels.
Proceeds from the Moonlight Bike Ride support PCM. Justin says 550 people participated in last year’s ride and he hopes for more this year. Participants decorate their bicycles with lights for the 10 mile route. Registration for the 2016 event starts at 8:00 p.m. this Saturday with live music, watermelon and ice cream provided. Justin says tailgating is encouraged. The ride begins with wheels leaving the parking lot at 10:00 p.m.
