[Audio] Neal Bradley Forecasts Racers' OVC Tournament Hopes

Tonight kicks off a hopeful Ohio Valley Tournament championship run for the Murray State University men’s basketball team. They face No. 7 seed Eastern Illinois tonight, March 2 at 8 P.M.

“The Voice of the Racers” Neal Bradley speaks with Tracy Ross on what the team will have to do to bring home a title.

Bradley says even though the sixth-seeded Racers fell to the Panthers late last month, he thinks MSU just had an off night. He says they should come out on top this time around.

With a win, the Racers would take on No. 3 seed Morehead State March 3. Bradley says that’s a tough matchup for Murray State. He says the Eagles play a mean defense and rebounding game and are one of the strongest teams heading into the second round. However, Bradley says Racer fans like to travel and that extra boost could be just what the team needs.

If MSU can come out on top, they’d then face UT Martin in the semifinals. Unlike Morehead State, Bradley says he likes that matchup for the Racers.

Putting his Murray State fandom aside, Bradley says he could see a Morehead/Belmont matchup in the OVC championship. He takes Morehead in that hypothetical game.

Overall, Bradley says if the Racers can take a win tonight then knock out Morehead, they have a legitimate shot of winning it all.
