[Audio] Murray State's Fall Fanfare Concert 'A Musical Smorgasbord'

CHFA at Murray State, Facebook

Murray State's Fall Fanfare Concert is this Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lovett Auditorium on Family Weekend at MSU. 17 music ensembles perform 'a smorgasbord' of styles, says Assistant Director of Bands John Fannin. He joins Tracy Ross on Sounds Good with an overview of one of the music department's "best attended events all year."

From The Turtles, to Taylor Swift, to Martin Gould to Nicki Minaj - over 17 ensembles perform a wide variety of musical styles in what Fannin calls a "popular, light and short" concert. Performances include the sax quartet, Racer Band, jazz orchestra, choirs, flute ensembles, trumpets and more. The program closes with the MSU Fight Song and Alma Mater.

Tickets are $10 at the door, proceeds support music scholarships.
