[Audio] Maiden Alley Ends Year with CD Release Party Featuring Local Musicians

Maiden Alley Cinema is wrapping up the year with the debut of their new permanent stage for the Music@MAC series, a Film Brew and a Movies for Me family night. On Sounds Good, Austin Carter speaks with Executive Director Landee Bryant-Greene about their events through the end of the year, including a CD release party featuring holiday tunes by regional musicians.

  • December 4 - Music@MAC series: The Hooten Hallers, Dead Soldiers and Red Ember - first time using their permanent stage. 
  • December 5 - Movies for Me presents HOME ALONE and also doing A CHRISTMAS STORY at 7 p.m. for after parade
  • December 10 - Film Brew presents TERMINATOR and THE GUEST
  • December 12 - Music@MAC featuring Banditos with The Wheelhouse Rousters
  • December 18 - CD release party of local and regional musicians playing christmas songs in collaboration with Cancer Society for a fundraiser

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
Austin Carter is a Murray State grad and has been involved with WKMS since he was in high school. Over the years he has been a producer for WKMS and has hosted several music shows, but now calls Morning Edition his home each weekday morning.
