Belly laughs and non-stop action are in store for audiences at the Playhouse in the Park production of "Noises Off" by Michael Frayn. The satirical farce about life in the theatre, which was once adapted into film featuring Carol Burnett, Michael Caine and many others, opens this weekend at the Murray community theatre. On Sounds Good, Kate Lochte speaks with actress Vicki Morton about love triangles, underwear and sardines.
The concept of Noises Off is actors doing a play, messing up and trying to fix it. In the first act, you see what the 'audience' is watching on stage and the second act, the set turns around and you see what's going on backstage. Hijinks ensue involving dropped trousers, near-missed encounters, underwear, sardines and much more in this classic farce. Morton says timing is everything and they're in tech rehearsals now getting it perfected for opening night.
