Attorney Files to Move Case to Higher Court

By Angela Hatton

Cadiz, KY – A Trigg County attorney has filed a motion to move an alcohol referendum case to the Kentucky Supreme Court. A circuit judge recently put a stay on an alcohol vote in the county's Montgomery precinct until a higher court decides that referendum's legality. The case was set to go to the court of appeals, but Grow Trigg attorney W. E. Rogers has requested the issue go directly to the Supreme Court. The opposing council has thirty days to respond.
