Clarksville, TN – Some area transportation authorities are doling out free rides this New Year's Eve. Clarksville Transit System will offer rides from11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Clarksville has been offering free new years rides for about 20 years now. Theresa Butts is with CTS.
"Whether we pick up 21, or 121, you know, it's just something, I think it's great for the community. And then, you know, you can go out and have a good time and enjoy it and then have a safe ride."
The free rides will begin at 11pm tomorrow night and end at 4am on Friday morning. Paducah also offers free bus rides tomorrow, however their Dial-a-ride is not available for free. Murray Calloway Transit Authority is not offering free rides tomorrow night.
