Paducah, KY – The Quilt Show will stay in Paducah for at least another year. Representatives with the American Quilt Society have signed contracts for the April 2010 show and contest. The quilt show is a continued boon to the city's economy, bringing in thousands of people every year. Paducah's largest hotel, the Executive Inn, has closed, but AQS will hold the event at the Julian Carroll Convention Center, the Paducah Expo Center, and a new AQS pavilion that will be set up in the parking lot outside the convention facilities. In addition to the Paducah show, the AQS has announced three other international quilt shows throughout the United States next year.
