Starting out with husband Bill as a publisher of books on collectibles, Meredith Schroeder co-founded the American Quilter's Society or AQS, and this year she is being inducted into the Quilters Hall of Fame. They simply thought that quilts should be recognized as art. This notion changed both their business and their city. In late March Kate Lochte spoke with Meredith Schroeder to learn more.
Meredith Schroeder and her husband Bill co-founded the American Quilter's Society in 1984 and since then have established the National Quilt Museum in Paducah and are embarking on their 29th annual AQS Show and Sale which opens April 24th and runs through the 27th at the Paducah McCracken County Expo and Convention Center.
