APSU Presidential Search Committee to Meet Next Week

The search committee to find a new president for Austin Peay State University meets for the first time next week. 

On Friday, The Tennessee Board of Regents named the search committee to find a replacement for current president Tim Hall who will leave in May to be the next President at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. 

The search committee will work with executive search firm Greenwood-Asher and Associates. Initial screenings of applicants are expected to begin in March.

The committee's meeting is next Monday.

The Tennessee Board of Regents is among the nation’s largest higher education systems, governing 46 post-secondary educational institutions. The TBR system includes six universities (including Austin Peay), 13 two-year colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing  programs across the state to more than 200,000 students.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
