AG Cautions Teens Online on Spring Break

By AP

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is warning students who will be leaving town for spring break to be careful what they post on social networking sites like Facebook. The warning follows a recent burglary near Louisville believed to be prompted by a woman who posted online that she was leaving home for the evening. Police believe one of the woman's Facebook "friends" saw the message and went to her home. Investigators in the Attorney General's Cybercrimes Unit also caution against posting personal information, like a birth date, which could be used by identity thieves, spammers or stalkers.
