2014-15 School Report Cards Show Improvement

The Kentucky Department of Education has just released its report cards on school performance for the 2014-2015 school year.  

The KDE ranks individual schools and districts based on standardized test performances, teacher qualifications, student safety, awards and parent involvement.

 

On average, Kentucky schools saw a 30 point improvement from the last academic year. 

In our region, the highest scoring are Murray Independent Schools, Calloway and Marshall County Schools Districts. Of the lowest ranked are Fulton County Schools and the Paducah and Owensboro Independent School districts. 

Webster County was the most improved moving from the 21st percentile last year to the 74th percentile this year.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club.
