Kala Dunn is a native of Princeton, Ky. She’s a 2006 graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy with a concentration in flute performance and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a B.M. in piano performance. Her hobbies include yoga, kayaking, reading, running, and listening to music. She lives in Hamlin, Ky.

The annual international juried photography exhibit “Art Through the Lens” remains on display through Saturday at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah. Admission to the exhibit is free. Starting Friday, the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center hosts an exhibit titled “Becoming the Volunteer State: Tennessee in the War of 1812.” The Tennessee State Museum Traveling Exhibit is on display at the Heritage Center through September 12. There’s a grand opening reception this Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4. Admission is free.
