Jenni Todd holds a degree in Music Education from Murray State University and a Masters degree in Arts Administration from Florida State University's College of Music. Equipped with knowledge and enthusiasm for fundraising and the arts, Jenni worked in donor relations and stewardship with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra in Florida and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Ohio. She and her husband Matthew and daughter Susie live in Murray and listen to WKMS all day, especially Marketplace at dinnertime.

The Kentucky Associated Press awarded WKMS five first place radio broadcaster awards of excellence this year. Radio stations across the Commonwealth participated in the 2014 Kentucky Associated Press Awards competition. 

Murray, KY. In the crowning finale of its first Battle of the Bands contest, WKMS goes to the intimate music venue Maiden Alley Cinema in Paducah on Thursday, March 27 at 7 p.m. The four bands chosen as finalists perform live for the ticket-holding audience which will determine the overall winner.

Murray listeners have contributed over $10,000 to put the WKMS all-classical music channel on an FM source before summer. This service at 99.5 FM will carry the nationally syndicated Classical 24 dedicated to live classical music programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week, produced by American Public Media and distributed by Public Radio International. This channel is also available online at wkms.org, on HD radios, and at 92.5 Paducah and 105.1 Madisonville.

Murray, KY- Dedicated WKMS listeners and underwriters topped the station’s autumn fundraising goal on Halloween Day, 2013 by contributing over $130,000 in support for this public radio service that Murray State University has provided the region, with community support, for over four decades.

Murray, KY- Murray State’s listener-supported, educational radio service 91.3, WKMS introduced the TED Radio Hour to 7 p.m. on its Sunday programming schedule in early 2013. Hosted by NPR’s Guy Raz, TED Radio Hour is based on TED Talks given by riveting speakers worldwide. Each weekly radio episode, hosted by Raz, is centered on a common theme and injects soundscapes and conversations that bring these ideas to life.

WKMS is proud to present The Alonzo Pennington Band of Princeton in performance in the dance lounge of Murray State University's Curris Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 22. It's a Great Beginnings event to help welcome students back to campus. 

Murray State’s regional, listener supported public radio service 91.3 WKMS is pleased to announce that its development team is attending public media’s largest conference in Atlanta this week, at no charge to the station.  Development Director, Asia Burnett, won a full scholarship for the 2013 Public Media Development and Marketing Conference (PMDMC) July 10-13, 2013. Membership Coordinator Jenni Todd is also going with her conference fees underwritten by an anonymous donor.

Murray State’s NPR station, 91.3 WKMS-FM celebrates Independence Day with special programs on July 4 & 5. Hear fun and familiar songs from popular American artists hosted by Dr. Bob, patriotic music performed by the Paducah Symphony Choruses, and an intimate portrait by NPR’s Kelly McEvers about her struggles as a war correspondent.
