Ice Storm Approaching

Paducah, KY – Forecasted rainfall and freezing temperatures for Monday set the stage for a potential ice storm next week. National Weather Service forecasters in Paducah held a conference call this afternoon to warn emergency management officials and first responders of potential hazards. Lead forecaster Dan Spath says the storms freezing line may reach as far south as Fort Campbell.

Ken Winters Reacts to Beshear's Proposal

Murray, KY – State legislators are reacting to Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear's proposed plan to cut four percent from the state budget and raise revenue. The plan includes raising the state cigarette tax by seventy cents. 1st district state Senator Ken Winters of Murray says he hasn't heard much buzz about the proposition yet. The Republican Senator says it's too early for him to comment about what success the proposal will have.

Dunlap Trial Date Set

Hopkinsville, KY – A jury trial date has been set for accused murderer Kevin Dunlap, who is being held for the murder of three children in Trigg County. The trial is slated for next November, but a location has not been set. Dunlap has a trial to set bond this February at the Christian County Courthouse.
