Smallwood Pleads Not Guilty

Fort Campbell – A Fort Campbell soldier's wife pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of setting a fire that killed her two young children. The May 2007 fire at Billi Jo Smallwood's Fort Campbell home killed nine-year-old Sam Fagan and two-year-old Rebekah Smallwood and injured her husband, Specialist Wayne Smallwood. If convicted, Billi Jo Smallwood could face execution or life in prison.

Bank Robber Still On the Loose

Paducah, KY – The man who robbed a Paducah Regions Bank this morning is still at large. A bank teller working during the robbery told police the man handed her a note that demanded money and claimed he had a gun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled on foot. Police describe the suspect as a 5-feet-8 to 6-feet tall white man between 25 and 35 years of age. He has blond or light brown hair and was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jacket, and jeans during the robbery. The investigation is ongoing.

Inmate Mistakenly Released, Captured

Clarksville, TN – A Montgomery County, TN Jail inmate who was released by mistake is back in custody. Kenneth Anderson was awaiting trial on an aggravated burglary charge. He was released after being mistaken for another man with a similar name.
