University of Kentucky graduates plane crash victim postumously

Lexington, KY – UK plans to graduate one of the victims of Comair Flight 5191 postumously. Scarlett Parsley Hooker would have been scheduled to graduate this weekend had she not been on that flight. As graduate students of the University of Kentucky's College of Health Sciences receive their diplomas on Saturday, they will pause to remember and honor a classmate whose life was cut short by the Comair Flight 5191 tragedy. Kentucky Public Radio's Bryan Bartlett has the story.

"Gomorrah" at Maiden Alley Cinema

Murray, KY – This week's offering at Paducah's Maiden Alley Cinema pushes the envelope for an American movie-going public accustomed to the glossy romance or cartoon violence of most movies about the Mafia. "Gomorrah" is an unflinching Italian film based on a non-fiction book about the Neapolitan crime syndicate, the Camorra. For them, life revolves around power and money, but is as cheap as it gets. Todd Hatton spoke with Maiden Alley's Larry Thomas about "Gomorrah."
