Clarksville Police Searching for Ft. Campbell Soldier

Oak Grove, KY – Clarksville Police, this morning, are searching for a Fort Campbell soldier wanted for stabbing a man in the chest. The incident occurred earlier this morning on the Kentucky side of Oak Grove near the state line. The suspect is 27-year-old Donald Ray Green, Jr., a Fort Campbell soldier last seen driving a Silver Dodge Ram with Tennessee plates (901QVD). The stabbing victim has not yet been identified. He died at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital shortly after being transported by an EMS team.

Jobless Rate Rises across KY

Frankfort, KY – Jobless rates are continuing to rise in all 120 Kentucky counties. The Office of Employment and Training released a report yesterday showing that the nation's economic woes cost Kentucky more jobs in July.

Magoffin County had the highest unemployment rate in the state in July at 19.6 percent. Jackson, Powell, Bath, Trigg and Metcalfe counties all had unemployment rates of 16 percent or more.

Murray, KY – The day after Thanksgiving 2007, Kentucky resident Luke Short and a friend decided to drive out to the middle of nowhere, relax and share a joint. They smoked about half a joint between them before heading back. That's when they hit a road block. Short thought it was the scene of a car accident.
