Power Company Update

Murray, KY – West Kentucky Rural Electric has restored power to over half their customers. Calloway County has the most power restored, with 26-percent of customers still without. Tower Standards

Murray, KY – Kentucky Emergency Management Director General John Heltzel says some transmission line towers that collapsed during the ice storms weren't up to current structural standards. Heltzel says older towers were built before Kentucky officials used data to develop integrity codes. However, officials say it's only assumption at this point to blame structural problems as the cause of much of the tower damage.

Lincoln's 200th Birthday

Murray, KY – The Kentucky Humanities Council has booked its Abraham Lincoln for 25 programs during this 28 day month that marks Lincoln's 200th birthday. He'll be in Paducah on February 26. Kate Lochte has more.
