Hopkinsville, KY – Christian County will soon be home to a large-scale fish cultivation facility. Florida-based company Perfect Ocean has announced it has selected a one-hundred acre site near Crofton, Kentucky. The company bills the facility as the largest indoor fish-cultivation facility in the world. The company plans to open next year with one-thousand tanks and an International Visitor's Center.
Frankfort, KY – In a letter mailed last Friday and obtained by Kentucky Public Radio, State Budget Director Mary Lassiter is warning of possible budget cuts of three-to-four percent this fiscal year. That's higher than the two-point-six percent cuts in Gov. Steve Beshear's budget-balancing plan approved by state lawmakers last month. Secretary of State Trey Grayson got one of the letters.
