Murray, Ky – Murray Briggs and Stratton Employees will take 10-percent pay cuts to keep their jobs this summer. Brigg's spokesperson Laura Timm's tells the Murray Ledger and Times the tough economy and a seasonal downturn is prompting the pay cut. Employee's were informed of the pay cut late last week. The wage cut involves all levels of management and labor.

Murray, KY – Senator Mitch McConnell stopped by Murray yesterday to tour the new Murray-Calloway Transit Authority's new facility. The senior U-S Senator was honored for his role in bringing nearly 1 point 5 million dollars in funding for construction and expansion projects. The MCTA plans to use the funding to expand bus service to include a wider service area throughout the city.
