Easter Seals CEO Retirement

Paducah, KY – The CEO of Easter Seals in Paducah is retiring at the end of the year. Ken Lucas announced yesterday he is ending his 8-year tenure at the non-profit, which provides services to special needs children, adults, and families. Lucas will be temporarily succeeded by current vice president of human resources Lori Devine.

Teenagers Charged in Arson

Smithland, KY – Two teenagers face arson charges in connection with a fire that gutted Smithland's, Historical Massey House. Yesterday, Kentucky State Police charged a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old with the December 1st fire. The teenagers face burglary, arson and criminal mischief charges. Both juveniles are lodged in the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Complex.

Rand Paul Money Bomb

Frankfort, KY – Christmas has come early for U-S Senate candidate Rand Paul. The Bowling Green Republican launched another money bomb
over the internet on Wednesday. Lisa Autry has the results.

"Mostly small-dollar donors gave 236-thousand dollars, bringing Paul's 4th quarter fundraising total to more than a half-million
dollars. Campaign manager David Adams says Paul's opponents have to be worried at this point.

Alleged Nursing Home Rape

Hopkinsville, KY – A Hopkinsville nursing home employee is on unpaid leave pending an investigation into an alleged rape. A 34-year-old Gainsville Manor resident claims the employee came into her room and raped and sodomized her. Gainsville Manor Administrator Ida Woodard tells the Kentucky New Era this is an isolated incident. She says the resident has made similar claims before. Hopkinsville police are investigating the incident.
