Murray city police don't expect any criminal action connected to a Murray State Student's death this weekend. 23 year-old Clayton Law died Sunday from a gunshot wound in a Murray residence.

Writing for the Marshall County Tribune-Courier, Venita Fritz reports that Angie Gregory's nickname at Marshall County High was "Hollywood." And the nickname foretold the life. The daughter of Diane Gregory and the late Earl Gregory of Draffenville, the Murray State Grad is now working in the television industry in Los Angeles, with a show on the Bio Channel to air tomorrow night. Murray State Issues Safety Alert

Two Murray State University students report being assaulted near campus in the past three weeks, prompting the university to send out a safety alert.

Both victims were women, and the unknown attacker wrapped his hands around their throats. The first assault occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the Chase Apartment parking lot April 6th. The second attack was at 15th and Hughes streets around the same time April 14th. The second victim saw the attacker and describes him as a dark skinned male wearing a hoodie.

Monday, April 22, nurse Galileo Simmons is at a book-signing at Murray State University's Bookstore from 11 to 2. When she was 14, Galileo's mom, Freeda J. Simmons-McMillan said that Galileo would publish books, but would not necessarily have written them. When Freeda sustained fatal injuries in a freak car accident, Galileo resolved to publish the collection of her mother's journals about what she'd learned about people through her own nursing career. And so she has: Black & White in a Multi-Colored America Volume 1 is available now from West Bow Press. She spoke with Kate Lochte over the phone today on Sounds Good.

Tim Johns is Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator, Jesse Stuart Fellowship, in the Department of English and Philosophy at Murray State and is becoming active with the Cinema International organization on campus.
