The Board had considered borrowing the money, but decided to use some of the county’s reserve instead. Marshall County Judge Executive Mike Miller said this will bring the reserve down below the level he’d like to see it, but it will be replenished in a year’s time. County Judge Executive Mike Miller says he&#39;ll recommend the date at the fiscal court meeting next Tuesday.&nbsp; County Clerk Tim York sent Miller a verified petition from the group &ldquo;Marshall 1<sup>st</sup>&rdquo; last week to hold a local option election. York says his office quit counting after verifying 2,160 signatures. The group, named Marshall First, collected 2,400 signatures, well above the required 2,078 required to open a vote. The Paducah Sun reports Judge Executive Mike Miller now has 60 to 90 days to order a referendum once the signatures have been verified.
