Public Safety Summit

Hopkinsville, KY – Christian County and city of Hopkinsville officials were on hand for a Public Safety Summit over the weekend in Hopkinsville. The event gave officials a chance to talk about crime in the county. 3rd Judicial District Commonwealth's Attorney Lynn Pryor participated in a panel that took questions from attendees. She says the main goal of the summit was getting residents more active in their communities.

Murray Teen Missing

Murray, KY – A Murray teenager is missing. 14-year-old Katie Martin has shoulder length, blond hair and was last seen October 31st. Murray Police Department Public Information Officer Traci Gooch says they believe Martin is en route to Lexington in the company of a Robert Estes. She says those with any information should contact the Murray Police Department at 753-1621.

Belief in Ghosts?

Murray, KY – It's Halloween, and an oft-quoted statistic around this time of year is one third of Americans believe in ghosts. Why? Some claim it's because they've experienced ghostly phenomena or even seen one. For the majority of people who haven't but still believe, the answer is less simple. To help clear things up, Todd Hatton visited with Murray State University professor of psychology Dr. Dan Wann, who says the reasons may be buried deep...within each of us.

Beshear on Women's Ag

Lexington, KY – First Lady Jane Beshear says Kentucky's agricultural tradition offers good opportunities for both men and women. The first lady was in Lexington yesterday for the annual Women in Agriculture Conference.

I'm a great believer that anything that the men can do, so can the women. I can drive a tractor just like any man can. And I think many women are out there doing things like, for example, the farmer's markets. That's a great opportunity for both men and women.
