Kentucky Delegate on the DNC

Denver, CO – Among the Democrats headed home today is Kentuckian Diane Wood. Wood, who lives on the Kentucky border near Fort Campbell, went to Denver, hoping to vote for Hillary Clinton. But yesterday she told reporter Charles Lane she's very satisfied with presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Youngest Kentucky Delegate Discusses Obama Versus Clinton Divisions

Murray, KY – The Democratic National Convention's first night was a memorable one for Graves County, Kentucky native Micah Spicer.

Spicer, who is Kentucky's youngest delegate at 19 years old, says although the convention's opening ceremony revolved around unifying the party, there were obvious divisions surrounding Senators Obama and Clinton.

KY Adjutant General Visits Iraq

Murray, KY – Kentucky Adjutant General Major General Edward W Tonini is spending the week in Iraq visiting with Kentucky National Guard troops. Tonini says he has "an all new appreciation for the tremendously difficult job" the military is doing in Iraq. More than 300 Kentucky guardsmen are currently stationed there. Tonini says conditions have improved "as far as the level of hostility." But he says the "unbelievable heat" remains an enemy for the troops.
