Murray, KY – Last week's ice storms left much of western Kentucky without power, sometimes without food and water. Workers at regional emergency operations centers were entrusted with the task of distributing those much-needed resources to individual counties. Carrie Pond speaks with Keith Todd, who's taken on the role of Region 1 EOC public information officer, about what's ahead in the short- and long- term for the area.

Power still scarce in Crittenden County

Marion, KY – While many areas around the region slowly regain power, the majority of Crittenden County has yet to receive electricity. Marion City Administrator Mark Bryant says power has returned to spots of the county's outskirts, but the Kentucky Utilities Company has only given city officials a vague idea of when the rest of Crittenden will return to normal.

Power Restored In Madisonville

Madisonville, KY – Madisonville Municipal Utilities (MMU) has restored power to approximately 80-percent of their customers. The Madisonville Messenger reports that MMU customers without power are urged to be patient as crews are still working diligently to restore services. Though services have been restored to many, Hopkins County Schools have not yet reopened but officials are meeting tomorrow to set a date.
