Golden Pond, KY – Parts of Land Between the Lakes remain closed after suffering severe rainfall damage on Friday. LBL officials say the south end of the Trace Road near Neville Bay Road 214 is impassable. Road crews are currently working to clear a detour route. Drivers should proceed with caution when traveling in the Tennessee section of the reserve. The Wrangler's campground is also closed.

Paducah, KY – Paducah officials plan to sell surplus land to increase revenue. The 62 plots were acquired mostly from foreclosures. Commissioner Gerald Watkins tells the Paducah Sun selling the plots would not only garner revenue for the city but eliminate the cost of maintaining the land. Interested buyers can contact the Paducah Planning Department. Details regarding the surplus property can be found on the city's website.

Murray, KY – Mowing and litter pick up is still underway in western Kentucky after beginning last week. Crews are working along parts of Interstate 24, the Purchase Parkway, the Western Kentucky Parkway and secondary routes in most counties. Motorists are advised to be alert and use appropriate caution when entering mowing zones. Crews will be at various locations throughout the region through the summer.
